The omen: when the last render farm finally quiets down, a hand-drawn 12-frame loop will still be looping, onion skin and all. Expect sprite sheets to surface from dead hard drives, hitboxes intact, tutorials still legible. Flatness is a shape, and shapes outlive their budgets.
